April 29th

Since my mother and sister came to Kumamoto, we went to the Green Land. We rode many atractions and enjoyed very much :) Please look at this picture. This is called Splash and as you can see, water splash is soooo amazing!! I was really surprised at that splash. At first, I was scared about riding roller coaster but once I rode, I fest sooo nice and we rode and rode. After we went to the Green Land, we went to Onsen. There was really big hot spring and nice ^^ Today I enjoyed very much with my mother and sister!!

April 28th

I went to Ouchi cafe with Chikako, Kana and Mizuho after the writing class. We enjoy eating and talking. The lunch was very nice and cheep :) We all had a great time there!! After that, I went to Karaoke with Satoko and sung a lot of songs including old songs.hahaha Then we went to eat dinner at Shimotori. When we enter the restaurant, it was not raining but after we ate, it was raining havely so we run to the bus centre. At 10:30 pm, my mother and younger sister came to my house but until they came to my house, I was sleeping.hahaha

Golden Week Plans

I'm going to go back to my home town, Miyazaki on 30th but I can't stay enough because we will also go back to my father's home town, Takachiho on the . Takachiho is near from Kumamoto but far from Miyazaki. Another reason that I can't stay long is the club activities. I have to go and help them so I cannot stay long in Miyazaki. I'm very sad. If I didn't belong to any club, I could stay more longer.

Today I will go to Ouchi Cafe from now for lunch with my friends! I'm excited :)

Essay 1-01b:Who I am

Hello. My name is Asaki Kai. I’m 19 years old and I’m from Miyazaki prefecture. My hobby is to watch the ocean but in Kumamoto it’s hard to watch the ocean because there is no ocean nearby. I have to go far to watch the ocean. I don’t have a driver’s license, so I have to make friends with people who have a driver’s license.

I belonged to the rowing club since I was a first year student of high school. I really like rowing but unfortunately, I have a very bad backache so I’m not a rower in the university but I’m helping the rowing club.

I’m a student majoring in English because I love English and I want to be a Japanese teacher abroad in the future so I’m studying English hard. I’ve been studying English for about 10 years. However, I still can’t make myself understand in English. I want to improve my English so I’m going to stay with you for 6 weeks this summer. I have some questions about you and your country. First of all, how many people does your country have? I think your country has large number of people. Second, where is the most famous place in your country? If I can, I’d like to visit the most famous place. Next, is there a chance that I can row during the home stay? I know this is a very difficult question so if you don’t know whether I can row or not, please don’t worry about it.

By the way, how many people do you have in your family? I have four people: my father , my mother and my younger sister. My sister is two years younger than I. She and I are very close even if we’re in the far distance. As I said before I’m from Miyazaki so I live by myself in Kumamoto.

I love him very much

He is my lovely dog in my Miyazaki's grandparents' house!! His name is Yujiro. He is old but really cute, clever, vegitalian, and ...... cute!!!!! hahaha When my grandmother sents me some photo of him, I always want to return to Miyazaki to see him :) However, I can't back so often because of the club. On the 30th, I'll go back to Miyazaki and see him so I'm very excited now. Tomorro night my mother and younger sister will come to Kumamoto because my sister's high school has no class on 30th so they come tomorrow after my sister's school finished. Tomorrow I have only one class, Writing. After that, I'll go to Ouchi Cafe with my friends again to eat lunch so I'm looking forward to going there. I also made scone for my family today. I hope they will like it. Then I'll go to bed. Good night~^^

BR 1-04: The Lost Ship

This story is a little bit scary for me because the ship disappear suddenly. At first, the captain of the ship and his men found a another ship when they're reaching home soon. However, there is nobody on the ship so the captain and two men rowed a small boat and got to the strange ship. There is nobody but there were food, water, and a cigar. The captain wondered wh0's gonna eat, drink and smoke. Then he went into the cabin and he found a ship's log book and a photograph. He looked the photograph and there was his face!! He felt scary and he run up to the deck but there was nobody. This kind of story always makes me scary but I chose this book... I don't know why but I enjoyed reading. I think that ghost ship is exist.

BR 1-03: The Well

I read "The Well" and this is of course a story of the well. There lives 5 people in a house:grandmother, father, mother, son and daugter. The son's name is Jay and the daugter's name is Lia. Grandmother is old and sick. Oneday their grandmother ask Jay and Lia to bring some water in the bucket. It is not easy to get water because there is fire and volcano near the well but grandmather insisted asking them to bring some water from the well. Jay and Lia went to get some water and finally they found the well then there were a lot of gold coins in the well. The gold coins are grandfather's. I read this book and I believe that if we do something hard or do our best, we're sure that something good will happen.

Miyazaki

Here is one of my favorite oceans. It takes a bit long time to go here from my house (Miyazaki) but here is worth visiting. As you can see here is really beautiful ocean!! If you come here, it is said that your dream will come true. Can you see the shape of cross ? It is also famous for the shape of cross. Miyazaki has a lot of beautiful oceans. I'm proud of those oceans. I want you to come to Miyazaki and want you to see oceans because the blue sky and the blue ocean are so good. Miyazaki is country city but nice place to relax. In the night also very beautiful for watching moon and stars. I like going to see the ocean in the night. I don't have a car license but my mother has so she often takes me to see the ocean sometimes in the night. If you visit my home town Miyazaki, I'll take you to see the ocean :) haha

Taiwan

These are the photos when I went to Taiwan. Here is a little far from Taipei. Do you know this place? Have you ever seen the movie "Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi"? Here is the model place of that movie!! In the night, lights turn on and it's really beautiful scenery... wow... Wonderful!! I'd like to visit Taiwan again :)

My hobbies

My hobbies are listening to music, watching movies and travelling. As for listening to music, I often listen to Korean music as I wrote last week. Watching movies is really good but recently I have no time to go to the theater... Finally I really like travelling. I went to Singaopore(8times), Malaysia(3times), Thailand(1time), Hong Kong(1time), Taiwan(1time) and Korea(2times) and I also like to trip with my family. We go to family trip once a year. I like that family trip very much!! Hope to go to Singapore as a family trip again.

My favorite fruit

My favorite fruit are Mango and Dragon Fruit. As you know Mango is very very expensive but so sweet and really nice!! I'm from Miyazaki and there is very famous for Mango. once I ate really expensive Mango and it was amazing... sooo good!! I can't forget that taste even now. hahaha
The other is Dragon Fruit. That is also expensive and a little bit strange taste but very nice.　When I was in Singapore, I ate Dragon Fruit but it was cheep... very very very cheep :) I think it was less than 15o yen.hahaha
If you have a chance to eat them please try them !!

I made this cake today. It was not so difficult to make it.

These are the some photos when I was in Singapore. I took Singapore Airlines to go there. I think this story is very famous all over the world. My opinion about the monkey is he had too much confident by himself. He was a really impudent to all the people. When he was cheated by Buddha I felt like "Yeah we did it!!" hahaha I always believe that if someone did bad things, even me, then the person is absolutely punished so we had better don't do bad things.

ouchi cafe

Hello. It's still raining now... uh...

However I had a special time with Chikako Mizuho Satoko and Chihiro :) We went to ouchi cafe very near from KGU after the 3rd period. There was so nice cafe and we talked a lot about many things. We also talked about Kumamoto dialect and Miyazaki dialect because I'm from Miyazaki and when I came to Kumamoto for the first time, I couldn't understand Kumamoto dialect. We talked about differences between Miyazaki dialect and Kumamoto dialect then we tried not to use any dialect in the conversation. .......BUT, we couldn't speak in the standard language..hahaha After we went to the cafe, we went to the 5th period class. We wanted to talk more and more but we had to go back to the class so we went back. I didn't have club today so I spent a lot of time taking care of my nail. Tommorow I have class from 1st period so I must get up early. I wonder I can wake up on time....hahaha

Volunteer

Hi :)
I joined youth volunteer at Kamitori YMCA after the part time job today and I met many Kumadai students! One of them is from Miyazaki and we talked a lot about Miyazaki. I also met a Singaporian and we talked about Singlish and food. I was very glad that I could speak with Singaporian and I had a chance to speak in English. For me, I am very busy everyday so I don't have much time to use English or talk with foreign people so today I was so happy to speak in English. I didn't notice but I spoke Singlish a bit and she was laughing because I used Singlish. haha
The next volunteer is in May so I'm really looking forward to meeting them again!

said goodbye

My friend quit our rowing club yesterday.. I know she will be very busy this year but we cried together to say goodbye...
She was my first friend of dorm. When I entered the dorm, we all had a seremony for new students who live in the dorm and I talked to her for the first time. After that we met at the rowing club's booth and I found that she will be our teammate. I was really happy to know that.
I have another 2 same age teammates in the rowing club and we are very close. We went to go out for eat after the club, we went to the fireworks festival together, we went to some competition and slept together then talked about so many things until midnaight and so on. We spent lots of times with her and another 2 friends so we all have many good memories. It's very sad for us that she quit the club but we cheer her to make her dreams come true!!

There are many BEAUTIFUL oceans in Miyazaki !! I found really blue color ocean in Miyazaki about 2 years ago. There was amazing and I was so impressed by that ocean. You shoud come and see the ocean :) haha
I recommend the ocean most and when it's summer, the sky and the ocean is really clear and beautiful. I also recommend the place where you can see the very nice illumination in winter ^^

BR 1-01: Vampire Killer

I read Vampire Killer this week and I found the story was interesting. When I first saw the book, I thought very colorful. The book is like a manga(Japanese comic) so it's quite easy to read. Sroty is about killing vampires but I thought about eating and drinking because everythings needs to eat and drink. For example, human kill animals to eat to survive. I think vampire is as well as human because they also kill people to survive. Anyway, books always make us thinking about many things. I usually don't read books because I don't have time to read but this year, I want to try many books and want to think about many things!!

This is my first typing homework!!

Every time I take my first classes I always look forward the teachers. I think of who teaches or how the teacher is. Thinking about teachers is fun for me because I think the class is depends on the teacher. However I will have a lot of homework so I'm worrying about the homework but I will do my best!!


Today was a REALLY BAD DAY....... My cellphone broken , someone stole my bycicle , I couldn't make phone call , I walk over 1 hour to go to Ezuko and so on..... Today was...... terrable.........
