Sunday

Yesterday, I went to Kikuchi, Hanjakuko to help umpire because high school students had race at Hanjakuko. I got up at 5:25 and we left here at 6:00. When we reached there, our OB explained what we are going to do. However, while he was explaining, I suddenly felt bad and got dizzy then fell down!! I was surprised but my teammates cared me so I got better. After I got back to my home at 18:00, I didn't eat dinner and I went to bed because I was so tired and still got a little bit dizzy and I slept until this morning ^^; hahaha
I will have test tomorrow and I'm really worring about that.... I have to study from now. I hope I'll pass the test!!

Saturday

I had a supplementary class on Saturday, 1st period. On that day, my friend Satoko and I went to see a movie to Yumetown Hamasen becuase the movie is showed only in Hamasen. After we finished the class, we took bus to Kotsu centre then we changed bus to Chuobyouin. We didn't have enough time to eat lunch so we bought quickly, and we went to the theatre. We watched a Korean movie which is Japanese wrote. The movie was showed in Korea last year but haven't showed in Japan yet. My friend was really lookin forward to see and so did I. The story was impressive but sometimes we laughed because there were some funny gag. After we saw the movie, we cried a lot.hahaha I haven't cried for a long time so I felt like I'm refreshed!!hahaha When I got back to my home, I cleaned the room and I went to eat out with my teammates. He paid for us. We were lucky :) hehe

Foreign Countries

I have been to 6 countries. I went to Singapore for 8 times, Malaysia for 3 times, Korea for 2 times, Hong Kong for 1 time, Taiwan for 1 time and Thailand for 1 time. I have been to only Asia countries but when I go to the foreign countries, I always think Japan is a really good country. I went to Singapore for 1 month during the Spring vacation and I really love Singapore but when I went back to Japan, I realized that Japan is the best. To travel abroad is good experience for me to think about how nice Japan is!

Birthday party

On the 25th, my friends and I (8 people) had a birthday party for Satoko!! Her birthday was 25th May so we had a party for her. We ate and talk a lot and we had a really really great time with her :) She looked very happy so we are also very happy ^^ She became 20 years old!! I wanted to write on the 25th, but I slept early on that day and after that, I was too busy to write. I hope that this year will be a great year for her. Even though we are so busy now but sometimes, I want her to relax and I hope she will get good memories. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

BR 1-08: Green Island

Mr Johnson and Mrs May took their children of their class to the big house called Seabay Hoese. The children were very excited and when they reached to the Seabay House, they looked so happy. On that day, they went walking around the house and they found a one island. Two students knew what does the island is called. The island is called "Green Island", they said. After they walked a lot, they ate dinner and slept well because they were very tired. The next day, the children did a beach study. They found many sea creatures then two students found a bird and the bird couldn't fly because it has oil on its feathers. They took the bird to the doctor on the island. Recently, many animals are hurt by human. Human, sometimes kill animals for themselves like eating or for the profit. I can't forgive them who kills animals for their profit. We must not kill animals and we have to help each other even it's animals. We must consider about the future, seriously.

BR 1-07: A New School

The story is about the first day of school. A boy has a younger sister and she goes to the school for the first time so her brother, the boy, has to bring her to school and look after her for all day. He felt a little bit ashamed to hold her hand becouse they look like dodies. However, he has to look after her for all day so he held her hand. When we go to the school for the first time, we worry about a lot of things like can I get many friends or something like that. I was of course worrying when I entered the university(KGU) because there was no students who is from the same high school so I was really worrying about "friends". Can I get friends? I wonder I can talk to someone who met for the first time... I always though about these things before I enter. However, I lived in the dorm, so I got many frinds before the entrance ceremony! I was really happy and now, I have many friends :) I think that friends are very important to study hard. I hope that our friendship will never disappear!!

BR 1-06: ESCAPE

I read "ESCAPE" and this is the story of a man who was mistaken for a thief. He is not a thief but he was sent to jail for suspicion of thief. Then one day, he planned to escape from the prison and he made it. I think that nowadays, sometimes police catch innocent people. That's of course not good and the way that police ask to suspected people is a little bit forcible. People who really did a crime or steal something must be sent to jail but innocent people should not be there.

My happy weekend

Last weekend, I came back to my hometown, Miyazaki because my grandmother entered the hospital one week ago. I took bus on Friday night but the bus was late for 30 minutes!! I reached to Miyazaki at 9:30 PM and I spent a good time with my family :)
The next day, I went to see my grandmother to the hospital. She was getting better and she was fine^^ After I went there, I went to my grandparents' house to see my grandfather and our pet, Yujiro!!! He was so excited and looked very happy. I was also very very happy because he was soooo cute!! I spent a nice day with them. When I got gome, I made a cheesecake for my family because my mother wanted to eat it. I was glad that they liked it :)
On Sunday, I went to see the beautiful ocean where I like the most. There was of course beautiful but there was a antiseptic mat on the road because now in Miyazaki, foot and mouth disease is very big problem... I'm so worrying about that disease... I hope it will be solved as soon as possible.
On Monday morning, I came back to Kumamoto. I didn't have any class in the morning and my father's holiday was Monday so I came back on Monday morning. He drove me to Kumamoto and after I finished the 5th period, we went out to eat dinner. We went to the bar restaurant near KGU. There was a good restaurant :) I liked there and dishes were so delicious!! I'd like to go there again, next time with my family ^^

Essay 1-02b: I love rowing!!

Introduction

I have belonged to the rowing club since I entered to high school. I love rowing because I learned many things by rowing and rowing is not easy sports. If I want to be a good rower, I have to do my best. Everytime I see the race, I get a lot of things about slills, trainings, how to row and so on. This is one of my reasons that I love rowing. Rowing douesn't have a goal of myself!! It's worth doing my best so I love rowing.


Basics

Boats have 7 types: single scull(1 person), double scull(2 people), quadruplet(4 people ＋ cox), pair(2 people and sometimes ＋ cox), four(4people ＋ cox and someitimes no cox), eight(8 people ＋ cox) and octopulet(8 people ＋ cox)
The differences between double scull and pair is the count of oars. Double scull needs 2 sets of oal(4 oars) but pair needs only 2 oars. Pleasse look at picture 1. This is double scull and as you can see, they are using 4 oars to row. However, what about picture 2? They are using only 2 oars. This is the difference between bouble scull and pair.

The rules of racing had changed last year, June. For example, we had to bring floaters on the boat for the safety but after the rules had changed, we don't need to bring them anymore. Calls also changed. Calls means announcement for the rowers. Judges must tell them the time. This is an example. (↓)

Do you know this person who is in the picture 4? His name is Daisaku Takeda and he is the most famous rowing player in Japan and also in the world. He was born in 1973 and he is 36 years old now but he is still rowing to win at the Olympics. He is from Ehime and He won an all Japan championship 9 times and he set up the records.

In 2002, he got a gold medal at Asia championship that was held in Pusan, Korea. He has chosen as an Olympics player and he took part in Olympics for 4 times. He is still training hard everyday to get a gold medal at Olympics. He wants to prove that Japanese can get a gold medal at Olympics. This is his dream for a long time.

Conclusion

I love rowing after all! However, I can't row now because of backache so I'm helping the players. To be honest, I came this university to enter the rowing club. Now my teammates are training hard to win even in the rain. I want them to win at the competition which will be held in Summer so I will do my best to help them and cheer!!

I got many comments that "I've never tried rowing so I want to try it!!". If you really want to try rowing, you can do it. If you really want to try, you can come to Ezuko at this time:Tuesday-Friday 5:00pm~ or Saturday, Sunday 9:00am~. It's not easy to row for the first time so we don't make you row single. We will row with you. It's quite difficult but I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The other question was about me, how long have you played rowing. Actually, I've played rowing for only 3 years because now I belong to the rowing club but I can't row because of my backacke. If I didn't have a very bad backacke, I'm sure that I continue rowing still now. I hope I can row again like a real rower.

Rain

It have been raining since yeaterday... I will write about yesterday. I of course had a club yesterday but I had a class until 5th period. After I finished the 5th period, I went to Ezuko by bicycle. However, when I was going there, it started raining quite hardly. It took 30 minutes to go there so I got wet. I was like a person who are taking shower^^; hahaha Then when I reached Ezuko, I found 2 crews are rowing. I waited their to come back but it rained harder than before so I got more wet. However, I didn't bring clothes to change so I was so cold. Some people worried about me and coach of high school's rowing club lent me clothes so I changed, then I felt better. After I came back to my home, I took bath immediately to get walm. I came back so late yeaterday so I got sooooooo tired....hahaha

14th and 15th May, Friday

On the 14th, my friend Ryoko came to my house and she stayed at my house^^ I made a this rare cheesecake for her :) We watched some DVDs and then, we watched many things at Youtube, then we went to supermarket to buy something to eat because we were very hungry at that time. Then we continued watching Youtube so..... we didn't sleep ^^; But we enjoyed so much!! After she came to her home, Satoko and Kim-san came to my house to do our homework for the class. We watched DVD again and wrote down to the paper. To be honest, I was so sleepy because I couldn't sleep that day but I was fine. We finished the homework then Satoko and I went to down town by bus. I wanted to buy a web camera for skype. When I went back to the home, I was sleeping in the bus and almost forgotten to took off^^;hahaha When I got back to my home, I talked with my best friend in Yamaguchi by skype using the web camera. I was sleepy so I was thinking that this time would be not so long. However, we talked over 3hours again^^;hahaha... Anyway, I enjoyed talking with her very much. I slept at 2:00 then next day, I went to the club :( I was sleepy all day again;;; hahaha

Animals

I like almost all animals and I don't know why but I can make them fall asleep. I like to do massage to animals so when I touch and start doing massage, almost all animals going to sleep!! My lovely dog Yujiro of course sleeps only by my massage and also, cats, horses, cows, sheeps, deers and so on. They all fall asleep when I touched them so I really wonder why but animals are very cute so when they fall asleep, I feel sooo happy :)

High School Days

These are the photos of high school days. My friends and I went to the river which is in front of our high school and we saw a really nice sunset. This river is very long and I used to running here along the river everyday for the training. I have met Mr.Higashikokubaru while I was running here. This river is not so beautiful but the scenery is amazing! I really like this place. After we saw a nice sunset, we watched stars for a while and we got back to each house. This day became unforgettable day for us :) I really enjoyed high school days... It was not only good things but also soooo many bad things but now, they all became my good memory. I cannot forget these days ^^

Sports that I have tried: Free-writing

I have tried swimming, table tennis, squash, basket ball, bully ball, squash and rowing. In these sports, I like squash and rowing the most because I really enjoyed them. As for squash, I think it's not popular in Japan because there is only a few squash coat in Japan so it's not well known. I can say the same thing about rowing. When I was a high school student, I of course belonged to the rowing club and there is also a canoe club at my high school. The canoe club was really strong, for example, then often won at the big competitions but rowing club is not so strong so people often thought that rowing(boat) and canoe is the same. However, for me, I also didn't know about rowing and how the rowing is. When I enter the high school, I had made a decition to belong to the Kyudo club but I entered the rowing club. I didn't know anything about rowing but I entered the rowing club. I even wonder why I enter the rowing club but I think that my decition was correct!

Skype

I talked with my best friend for 3 hours yesterday on Skype!! We were surprised that we talked sooo long time ^^; When I came back from the club, I ate supper and took bath and I called her. We talked about a lot of things. She is not in Kumamoto but she is in Yamaguchi. We used to belonged to the same club(rowing club) and she was a captain of the club. We are very close even if we go to the different university :) We talked about the high school days. We had many things in the school and the club but we enjoyed high school days. She and I want to go back to the high school.hahaha She and I were different subject so our classroom was separated. We could meet only in the club but we're very good friends^^ We both have many trouble in university but when I talk with her, I feel really better. She gives me a power ^^hahaha Now, I have to go to school so see you then :)

BR 1-05: Camping Adventure

I read Camping Adventure and this story is of course about the camping. I read this book because I also like camping. My family used to go to the camping when I was a little child. However, my father is very busy now and he can't take holidays so we haven't been camping for a long time but we go family trip once a year. We like camping in the tent but also stay in loghouse. When my father could take a holiday, we book loghouse and enjoy staying with my family :)

Food/eating habits

I think Japanese eating habit is very nice. First of all, Japanese people are so polite when they eat or drink. I think that is because Japanese traditional tea ceremony, Sadou. Sadou is very famous Japanese culture and it is well known for all over the world. This culture brings Japanese a good eating habit. The second is food. When I travel abroad, I of course like their food but I always miss Japanese food because Japanese food is really good. I always eat udon when I go back to Japan. I feel that I am a Japanese while eating udon.hahaha


Today I will go to Benkei where is in Hotel Nikko. My club's OB will take us there. I'm excited but I'm also worrying about my cold.... I feel better but I still have a slight fever and bad cough...

Cold!!!!

Hello :) I didn't bring umbrella today...oh no... hahaha As I wrote yesterday, I still have cold and slight fever but I wen to school today. I was fine but on the 4th period, the classroom was soooooo cold!! My friend and I were very surprised and we stood for over a hour.... Then one student said "please turn off the cooler" to teacher so the room got warmer. I appriciate her.hahaha After that class, on the 5th period, teacher turned on cooler!! I was so cold again but I was coughing heavily because of fever so teacher realized and he turned off the cooler!! I was so happy. He is a good teacher.hahaha When I went back to my home, it was raining but I didn't bring umbrella so I hurry to my home by bicycle. After I reached to my home, I check my temperature and my temperature was rising before the morning so I'll take medicine and go to bed soon. I have to get well as soon as possible. Good night^^

Golden Week but.....

Hello ^^
Do you have good GW?? My golden week was a little bit busy and terrable...hahaha
On 3oth, after school, I went back to Miyazaki with my mother and sister by car. On that night, I met Yujiro~~(>ⅴ<) He was soooo cute!! Then next day, our family went to Takachiho because my father's home town is there. I stayed there for 3days and on the 3rd's night, I came back to Kumamoto with my family because I had to go to the club. However, I had a slight fever that night and next morning but I went to the club. The team secretary was only me so I worked very hard. After the club, when I went back to my house, I had a high fever. Luckly, my family was there so I slept all day until this morning. I still have a slight fever but I feel much better than last night. I couldn't sleep because of high fever last nignt. I hope the fever wouldn't rise tonight...
